This red Fox is finishing what is left of a rabbit and is not intent on sharing....With temperatures in the -30's it is hard on all animals...Although it is not long after the kill , his meal is frozen solid....

The redpolls are starting to return to Saskatchewan albeit the extreme cold we are experiencing. This is a shot from a. few years ago that I have always liked. the out of focus is as a result of DOF settings not PP.

Temperature on this day was -38C. Temperatures drop drastically when the sky is clear all night as there is no insulation from the clouds to hold the earths heat in. Cameras will work in these conditions its the humans who have to hold their breath while composing until shutter release.

The Gum Wall
A short walk down from Pikes Market sits an unusual sight....People have been depositing their used gum here for years..It is estimated millions of pieces of gum have been stuck to this wall over the years. It was steam cleaned in recent years but I suspect that the sticky process has started all over again?
